About me

(For the professional Bio please click here)

I have been an educator for the better part of my adult life. I have been an educator of educators for the last decade, dedicated to both research and consulting work. But when my youngest son asked me, while filling in a form: "Mom, of all the hats you wear, what’s your profession, after all?”, It struck me how natural my offhand response was: “I am a teacher”, I told him, "write that your mom is a teacher". Indeed, being a teacher defined my professional identity for over three decades, and I embraced it dearly. I taught students and teachers, in Israel, in the US and in Poland, and I believe they have all appreciated my love to the profession.

The international nature of my educational career has shaped my leisure activities. I love to join an Ashtanga yoga class in any city I live in. I thrive at intercultural meetings, enjoy multicultural food, and am fascinated by a world with no boundaries: “imagine there's no countries… [and] all the people living life in peace." If only we could make Lennon’s words our true reality.
